The Extracta® Kit – Plant Tissue DNA and RNA (MPLA) was developed for the extraction and purification of nucleic acids from a wide range of plant tissues. Designed for maximum versatility, the kit accommodates everything from seeds and leaves to stems and rootlets, allowing for full integration with manual or automated workflows in magnetic extraction systems.
Based on magnetic microparticle (magnetic bead) technology and the principle of solid-phase reversible immobilization (SPRI), the kit enables the selective isolation of DNA and RNA from plant tissue. With an optimized 40-minute protocol (which may vary depending on the equipment), it delivers high-integrity DNA and RNA (depending on the matrix), ready for critical applications such as genotyping, GMO detection, plant breeding, next-generation sequencing (NGS), and other molecular biology analyses.
