The Extracta® GOLD Pathogen DNA and RNA Kit (MPTA GOLD) was developed for the automated extraction and purification of pathogen nucleic acids from a variety of clinical and laboratory matrices.
Based on magnetic microparticle (magnetic bead) technology and the principle of solid-phase reversible immobilization (SPRI), the kit isolates DNA and RNA from a wide range of microorganisms—including viruses, bacteria, fungi, and protozoa—from diverse and complex biological matrices. With an optimized 40-minute protocol (which may vary depending on the equipment), it delivers nucleic acids ready for the most demanding applications, such as PCR, qPCR, genotyping, next-generation sequencing (NGS), and other molecular biology analyses.
